Partilhando muitos componentes entre si, estes dois SUV terão capacidades dinâmicas reforçadas, nomeadamente em termos de prestações, com ambos a disporem de motor de seis cilindros em linha bi-turbo de 3.0 litros, apontando uma potência de 450 CV.
Além dessa aposta no motor de última geração turbo, a BMW irá trabalhar de forma afincada a dinâmica destes dois modelos, que terão também a quase obrigatória tração integral xDrive com modo desportivo condizente. A transmitir a potência aos eixos motrizes está uma caixa automática de oito velocidades, num pacote que deverá mimetizar aquele que se pode encontrar no M5.
Uma das capacidades anunciadas pela BMW é a de circulação fora de estrada, com a marca a não poupar estes seus SUV desportivos a maus tratos em areia e terra.
Sem uma data precisa para a revelação dos novos X3 M e X4 M, é previsível que ambos sejam mostrados ao mundo no Salão de Genebra.
